Founded in September 2006, the Harmonia Chamber Singers began as a small group of devoted singers and has grown into a 22-voice professional-level a cappella ensemble. Harmonia's repertoire spans several centuries of choral music, from Medieval chant to the present. We are equally at home singing Renaissance polyphony, jazzy Swingle arrangements, Spirituals, and Beatles tunes, often in one presentation. Harmonia’s expanding audience encompasses many musical tastes and backgrounds, and our concerts are intended to be both educational and entertaining. We plan to release a second recording in Fall 2010, commemorating our 5th season. |
